LA MARINERA

Marinera is a dance of free couples, their origin is polemical, according to Don Abelardo Gamarra "El tunante" (writer and journalist) "La Marinera" takes its name after the war with Chile and in tribute to Don Miguel Grau and the marine military of Peru (1879).
In 1893, El Tunante" attended a piano concert given by a girl Lima -musical prodigy, while "El tunante" sang the little scribbled notes and thus was born "La Decana" now known as "La Concheperla", this girl named was Rosa Mercedes Ayarza de Morales.
A dream of mine was to learn how to dance "Marinera", and now I´ve made since  I´m going to dancing classes.
It is wonderful to listen of musical notes, my smile is  not so easily erased because it is a wonderful music, I love it.
Raise high the handkerchief highly and move it around, erect with the head is sometimes to back every time you flirt with your couple when dancing. There is no feel the cold weather there is no pain in my bare feet, I feel joy and happiness to dance "Marinera" which is a peruvian proud.
I invite you watch flashmode of Marinera in The Plaza de Armas, where is proclamed The Marinera heritage of peru, and is celebrating each october 7th.
